Client Base:

Mia is especially excited to work with clients who are interested in actively participating in their healing process.  She is keen to educate people about postural alignment, muscle imbalances and self care programsthat include both stretching and strengthening.  So if you’re ready to move with greater ease, comfort and grace in your daily life, Mia is ready to guide you on your path.  A large part of her talent stems from her passion for designing personalized yoga programs, whihc in her experience, furthers clients' ability to achieve their potenial a variety of levels.

 

 

Experience/Credentials:

Mia has some 15 years of yoga practice behind her and through that, has personally realized the benefits of a regular stretching regime. (Admittedly, she also knows very well just how fast she gets stiff when she stops practicing for too long!).  She is a certified hatha yoga instructor, trained at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. Mia also teaches Nia, a fantastic fusion fitness program that blends the precision of martial arts, the playfulness of dance arts, and the breath and body alignment awareness of yoga and other healing arts. 

 

A graduate of the 1000 hour Massage Therapy Certificate Program at CCMH Foothills College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, she is currently continuing with advanced training to the 2200 hour  level of accreditation. 

 

 

Hobbies/interests:

When she’s not busy studying or practicing her movement techniques,  Mia loves to be in the mountains - hiking and capturing moments of beauty in photographs, biking the beautiful trails around Calgary, or experimenting with gourmet recipes to share with friends.  She also loves to travel, and speaks several languages.
